Our housing at 1010 Sinclair Street consists of an integrated independent living apartment block with 75 units. Each apartment unit has physically accessible features incorporated into the design. Other features of the building include on-site management, smart card laundry facilities on all floors, indoor and outdoor parking, and accessible gardens.
A large number of our apartment units are designated for our transitional Learning Through Living Program. This program has been fundamental to our organization since 1975, and throughout that time has been available to support individuals who are in need of a physically accessible apartment while working toward their own goals in independence. A select number of affordable apartment units at 1010 Sinclair Street are available for non-program tenancy, in order to promote our philosophy of creating and maintaining integrated communities which are more inclusive for all tenants. A small number of apartments within the building are reserved for occupancy through Transitional Living Centres, a separate program that is not run by our organization.
